Welcome to St. Joseph's National School

School Blog

A Final Word

3/7/2014

Dear Parents, Pupils, Past Pupils and Members of the School Community
I'm using our web blog as it is my best oportunity to reach as many of you as possible in order to convey my sincere gratitude and appreciation to you for your  extraordinary kindnesss, generosity and good will on the occasion of my final teaching day in Bekan N.S.
This school has been my place of employment for over the past 39 years and, as the years have progressed, I have come to realise more and more how fortunate and priveleged I have been to have been part of this community. I cannot praise highly enough the marvellous support and co-operation I have received over these years, particularly in my 12 years as school principal, from all sides - parents, pupils, colleagues and management.
This is a vibrant and enthusiastic school, thanks to the people who participate in its teaching and learning, its running and management and all who enthusiastically support the efforts of the school in various ways.
Again, to all  who partcipated in any way in  the wonderful celebration on the day and to all of you whose warmth, thoughtfulness and generosity will live with me and my famiy always, we offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
Gach Beannacht & Deá Mhéin i gcónaí
Vinny Kelly [Retiring Principal]
