The Wonder of Wonder!

This is a book review on one of the best books I have ever read. It is a heart-warming tale about a boy named  August Pullman who was born deformed. He has never attended a school as his mother homeschooled him. When he reaches the age where many children begin middle school his parents see a shining opportunity to send him to a normal school with other children. He is very reluctant at first but soon starts to warm  to the idea. His parents set up a meeting with middle school  director  Mr. Tushman who calls on three helpers:  laid-back Jack, diva Charlotte and cocky Julian. Julian instantly sees August as a ‘freak’ and asks him ‘What’s  the deal with your face? Were you in a fire or something?’’ August is protected by Jack who treats him like a real friend.
As soon as he starts school many see him as a ‘freak’ and dream up a game called’ the plague’. One day as he was eating he heard a voice saying ‘’Can I sit here?’’  As he looked up he saw a girl standing next to him Ever since that day they always sat together.
This story is told in many different perspectives and shows the heartbreak and joy August feels.
My favourite character: August
My least favourite character: Julian
My favourite part: When August and Jack make up after ignoring each other for weeks on end
My least favourite part:  When Daisy has to be put down
We are going to see the film of Wonder on the 6th of  December

We create Auto Biography Poems on the main characters and we then created portraits of them. Finally we came up with our own precepts- here is our work!
