Maths week 2017

14th- 22nd of October

Hello everyone! Today Keleigh, Ella and Alannah are going to be sharing with you about Maths Week 2017,
Hope you enjoy!
Maths Week took place on the 14th to the 22nd in the month of October.5th and 6th class invited Senior Infants & 1st class to join us on our Maths Trail.
The Maths Trail consisted of different exciting games & fun activities!
We began with number games and then we went on to counting games. We soon moved on to card games and indoor Maths Jenga.
5th and 6th class also did their own Maths Trail later on in the week. We split into groups of four. First we began with measuring the area and perimeter of the school. We also found the average amount of doors and windows in the school. We then went inside and  played  Maths games and we did sums, We also really enjoyed that too!
The children had a lot of fun and so did we! We hope to do Maths Week next year with Senior Infants & 1st class because they were so well behaved!
Thank you  for listening!
