I hope you are all well. Here are some suggestions of work for Senior Infants and First Class. It is just a guide and we can only try our best, so please don't feel under pressure to complete everything.
First of all, to all the boys and girls in Senior Infants and 1st Class, I want to say a great big thank you for all your work uploaded to seesaw. I have had a wonderful week looking at your written work, watching and listening to your reading, and seeing your amazing artwork and photos. I am sure that working from home must be very different and that you probably miss your friends, but you are doing a great job. You have put a lot of effort into your posts, so well done and keep up the marvellous work!
Secondly, I really appreciate all the time and effort parents have been putting into seesaw. I know it cannot be easy, especially with younger children who need a lot of help with this app, as well as supporting them with the all of the worksheets and activities. Thank you so much for engaging with seesaw. I have been really impressed with how well you have all taken to it and you are using it in really beneficial and innovative ways. The suggested work for this week is in the format of a daily timetable. This may not work for everyone so please feel free to continue with established routines that work best for you and your family. The worksheets uploaded with this post are optional, and if you do not have access to a printer they could be completed orally or draw/written in a copy or on a page. Any suggested activities like Splash Learn or Epic! are also an additional extra, that may or may not suit you and your child this week. I have uploaded a file with sites suitable for Senior Infants and 1st Class with this post and you may even prefer to try some of these ideas.
Similar to last week, the seesaw activities will be posted on Tuesday and can be completed by Friday. Work that is uploaded to seesaw will only be viewed by the class teacher. We understand that uploading work for every activity may not always be feasible and we do not want this to cause stress or anxiety for anyone, so please only post if and when it suits you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me on ubyrne.bekanns@gmail.com. I hope you all have a great weekend and get some well deserved rest over the Bank Holiday!
