Work for Senior Infants and 1st Class, 1st-5th June

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well. Here are some suggestions of work for Senior Infants and First Class for the first week in June. As always, it is just a guide, so please don’t feel that everything must be completed.

This week's work is in the format of a daily timetable with pages from workbooks assigned. These are pages that we have not completed school, but I understand that working from home is different, and if you find it easier for your child to complete half a page at a time or to do the work orally, that is fine too. If there are pages that your child may have been absent for, these could be completed over the next few weeks as well. Some days will be better than others for getting work completed, and I don’t wish for these books to cause stress or anxiety for anyone. We can only try our best! I have uploaded photos of these pages with this post, as well as including links below the timetables, where you can access the relevant e-books. If it is a case that you child has already finished some of these workbooks, that is wonderful, and in that case pages from other books may be completed instead of the ones assigned. Resources like Epic! and Splash Learn, as well as online games suggested in the timetable are optional, and you may prefer to use different sites, books or games at home.

Seesaw has been going very well as a resource, and thank you for engaging with this so far. This week's seesaw activities are a little different as they are based on a Virtual Sports Day for Bekan NS on Friday, 5th June. There are lots of enjoyable activities suggested, as well as ways to do these at home. Please do as many of these as you think best. Uploading work for every activity may not always be feasible, so please only post if and when it suits you.

If you have any queries or concerns about this week's work, please do not hesitate to email me at ubyrne.bekanns@gmail.com. I hope that you will have a brilliant Bank Holiday weekend and get some well earned rest!
