We had a wonderful time during this year's science week. In these photos you can check out our lava lamps and an ice cube experiment. We also designed and made puppets.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well, and I am sure you are all excited about beginning the summer holidays! Here are some suggestions of work for Senior Infants and First Class for the next few days. It is just a guide, so please don’t feel that everything must be completed. If any of the pages mentioned in the timetable have already been completed, please take a look in any other workbooks that may need to be finished. You will find a daily timetable of work for both classes uploaded with this post, as well as the pages from the workbooks and books mentioned in the timetable. This timetable suggests school work for Monday to Wednesday, with just a few points for Thursday, as this would have been a half-day in school. There is also a file with some possible summer activities and colouring sheets, just in case anyone is missing school or needs something to do on a rainy day! To all the boys and girls in Senior Infants and 1st Class, I have loved being your teacher this year. You are a wonderful group of children. You always work hard and look out for each other. I am really looking forward to teaching the girls and boys in Senior Infants again in September, as you begin 1st Class. As for the children in 1st Class, I wish you all the best in 2nd Class and I look forward to meeting you again in September. I hope that you will have a fantastic summer and take a well-deserved rest after all your hard work this year. Remember that Mammy and Daddy have been working very hard to help you with your school work at home too, so they have earned a nice break during the holidays as well. Thank you, enjoy the summer holidays, and I will see you all in September! ![]()

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. Here are some suggestions of work for Senior Infants and First Class for next week. As always, it is just a guide, so please don’t feel that everything must be completed. You will find a daily timetable of work for both classes uploaded with this post, as well as the pages from the workbooks and books mentioned in the timetable. I know that working from home is different, so if you find it easier for your child to complete half a page at a time, or to do the work orally, that is fine too. Some days will be better than others for getting school work completed, and we can only try our best! At this stage, your child may have already finished some of their workbooks, which is wonderful, and in that case pages from other books may be completed instead of the ones assigned. Thank you for engaging so well with seesaw. This week's seesaw activities will be posted on Monday and may be completed by Friday. Please feel free to upload a photo of a completed page in a workbook or copy, rather than doing a seesaw activity, especially if you are having issues with internet or if the workbook activities are proving time-consuming. Uploading work for every activity may not always be feasible, so please only post if and when it suits you. If you have any questions about this week's work, please do not hesitate to email me at ubyrne.bekanns@gmail.com. ![]()

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Here are some suggestions of work for Senior Infants and First Class for next week. As always, it is just a guide, so please don’t feel that everything must be completed. This week's work is in the format of a daily timetable with pages from workbooks assigned. I understand that working from home is different, and if you find it easier for your child to complete half a page at a time or to do the work orally, that is fine too. If there are pages that your child may have been absent for, these could be completed over the next few weeks as well. Some days will be better than others for getting work completed, and we can only try our best! I have uploaded photos of these pages with this post, as well as including links below the timetables, where you can access the relevant e-books. At this stage, your child may have already finished some of these workbooks, which is fantastic, and in that case pages from other books may be completed instead of the ones assigned. Seesaw has been going well as a resource, and thank you for continuing to engage with it. This week's seesaw activities will be posted on Monday and may be completed by Friday. Please feel free to upload a photo of a completed page in a workbook or copy, rather than doing a seesaw activity, especially if you are having issues with internet or if the workbook activities are time-consuming. Uploading work for every activity may not always be feasible, so please only post if and when it suits you. If you have any queries or concerns about this week's work, please do not hesitate to email me at ubyrne.bekanns@gmail.com. ![]()
